Prince Harry's love for Africa
The British Monarchy has had a long history with Africa. While most of the relationship has not always been a great one, in the most recent century the Royals have had some of their best and worst moments while in Africa. Queen Elizabeth who was on a Commonwealth tour with her husband in Africa learned that her father had died and she was now the new Queen. While she was there she fell in love with the country and its culture. Many Royals have also gone to do charity work and both William and Harry have been known to spend time down in Africa doing charity work. Harry says that while he is in Africa he feels most like himself. William proposed to Kate while in Africa and used his late mother's ring to propose with. Harry who proposed to Meghan Markle earlier this month used a diamond from Botswana and two small diamonds from his mother's personal collection. After the news that they were engaged broke many in Africa wrote to congratulate the couple. Megan herself is no stranger to charity work on Africa and has herself been to Africa for a number of different charity works. The young couple has traveled there together have a deep love for the country. Harry hopes to continue to do his charity work there and has hopes that his future kids will follow in his footsteps.
